The CCC exam rewards steady practice more than last-minute cramming. It has 100 multiple-choice questions and you need 50% to pass, so the goal is accuracy across every module rather than perfection in one.
Week 1: Computer basics and the operating system
Learn the vocabulary first: input and output devices, memory types, files and folders. Practise creating, renaming and moving files until it feels automatic.
Week 2: Word processing and spreadsheets
Know the common shortcuts, how to format a document, and the basic formulas: SUM, AVERAGE, MIN and MAX. Questions often ask which button or menu does a job, so use the software while you study.
Week 3: Presentations, internet and security
Understand how email and browsers work, what phishing looks like, and why strong passwords matter. These are easy marks if you have read the notes once.
Exam day
- Answer the questions you are sure about first.
- Flag the rest and return to them.
- Leave ten minutes at the end to review.
Take the free practice test on this site two or three times before the real exam. Each attempt shows you which modules need more time.
